Terms of service

Last updated October 25, 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and BeautyReso when you use beautyreso.ca, as a client booking appointments or as a beauty professional or business taking them. By creating an account or using BeautyReso, you agree to them. Please also read our privacy policy. Questions? Email tito@beautyreso.ca.

What BeautyReso is

BeautyReso is a place to discover beauty looks and book the professionals behind them, and software that beauty professionals and businesses use to run their bookings, clients, team and payments. The professionals and businesses on BeautyReso are independent: they provide their own services, set their own prices and policies, and are responsible for them. BeautyReso isn't a party to the appointment between a client and a business.

Your account

  • You need to be at least 13 to use BeautyReso, and old enough to book a service where a business sets a minimum age.
  • Give accurate information, keep your password private, and tell us right away if you think someone else has used your account.
  • You're responsible for what happens on your account.

Booking as a client

  • When you book, you agree to the business's own policies shown when you book, such as deposits, cancellation and no-show fees.
  • If the business asks for a deposit or full payment, or keeps a card on file, the card is charged by the business under those policies, through their payment company (Stripe or Square).
  • Some services need forms filled in before the appointment, such as health questions or consent. Your answers must be true; the business relies on them to keep you safe. Where a service has a minimum age, you confirm your date of birth, and the business may check your ID in person.
  • Questions about a service, a price, a refund or how an appointment went are between you and the business. We can help you reach them.

Running a business on BeautyReso

  • You're responsible for your services, prices, policies, team, the care you give, and following the laws that apply to your business, including licences, health and safety rules, taxes and consumer protection.
  • You decide your cancellation, deposit and no-show policies, and you must show them honestly and apply them as shown. Charges to a client's card must follow the policy they agreed to when they booked.
  • You keep your own client records (notes, formulas, allergies, signed forms). Use them only to serve your clients, keep them accurate, and follow privacy law. You're responsible for the people on your team you give access to.
  • Forms and consent wording, including any starter templates we provide, are yours to check. Templates are starting points, not legal or medical advice.
  • You authorize BeautyReso to show your business, services, prices, availability and looks on BeautyReso and to share them with partners that help clients find and book you, such as Google (for example, a Book button on Google Search and Maps). You can ask us to stop.
  • When you import data from another app, you confirm you're allowed to bring it, and that your clients' information can be used this way.

Payments

  • Card payments go straight to the business's own account with its payment company, Stripe or Square. BeautyReso doesn't hold client payments and takes no cut of them. The payment company's fees and terms apply to the business.
  • Refunds of client payments are decided by the business, under its own policies and the law.
  • We never see or store full card numbers.

BeautyReso plans for businesses

  • Businesses can use the Free plan, or a paid plan (such as Solo or Studio) with the prices shown in Settings → Your plan, in Canadian dollars, plus any taxes.
  • Paid plans renew automatically each month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in Settings → Your plan; your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for. We don't refund partial months, except where the law requires it.
  • If a free trial is offered, you won't be charged until it ends, and you can cancel before then. We'll tell you before we change a plan's price, and the new price applies from your next billing period.

What you post

  • You own the photos, looks, reviews, comments and messages you post. You give BeautyReso permission to host, show and share them on BeautyReso and when people share them from it, for as long as they're on BeautyReso.
  • Only post what you have the right to post. Get permission before posting a photo of someone else, and credit the people who did a look.
  • Reviews must be honest and about a real appointment. Businesses may reply but can't edit or remove a review.

The rules

Don't use BeautyReso to:

  • harass, threaten or discriminate against anyone, or post anything hateful, sexual, violent or illegal;
  • post fake bookings, fake reviews or misleading listings, or pretend to be someone else;
  • spam people, or message clients who haven't agreed to marketing, as required by Canada's anti-spam law;
  • break, overload or get around the security of BeautyReso, or collect other people's information from it.

We can remove content or limit or close accounts that break these rules. You can report anything that does from the ⋯ menu.

Other services we connect to

BeautyReso works with services like Stripe, Square, Google and Resend. When you connect or use them, their own terms also apply, and we're not responsible for them.

If something goes wrong

  • We work hard to keep BeautyReso running and accurate, but we provide it "as is": we can't promise it will always be available or free of mistakes. Businesses should keep their own records of important information.
  • We aren't responsible for the services businesses provide, or for what people post. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid BeautyReso in the 12 months before the claim (or $100 if you paid nothing). Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be limited.
  • If you use BeautyReso to run a business, you agree to cover our costs if a claim against us arises from your services, your content, or your breaking these terms or the law.

Closing your account

You can stop using BeautyReso and ask us to delete your account at any time by emailing tito@beautyreso.ca. Businesses should cancel their plan first. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it.

Changes, law and contact

We may update these terms as BeautyReso changes. We'll update the date above, and tell you by email before a significant change takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and of Canada that apply there. Questions or concerns? Email tito@beautyreso.ca.
